Arai kart helmet compliant with the latest SNELL2020 certification.
AR2270GP
The Arai SK-6 has been designed specifically for karting, adding further features and improvements to the already impressive SK-5. Constructed using Arai CLC (Complex Laminate Construction), the SK-6 shell is so strong that it allows the use of a very soft EPS liner for improved comfort and impact energy management.
Four ventilation holes in the intake and exhaust areas with enlarged ventilation hole diameters in both the front and rear areas, where the two holes are covered by the Formula Duct air intake. There are also two ventilation holes in the chin guard area.
3 mm thick F1-type visor designed for use with tear-off lenses (visor not interchangeable with that of the GP-5 model) with a lever closure system that makes it easy to open.
Visor equipped with a lever locking system to simplify opening even when wearing gloves.
Reduced opening of the visor housing, now 60 mm.
Shell constructed with CLC (Complex Laminate Construction) technology: two layers of Super Fibre and an intermediate layer of composite fibres that are both resistant and lightweight.
Wider helmet opening for increased comfort when putting on and taking off the helmet.
Stiffening ribs at the base of the helmet have been added to increase the rigidity of the shell.
Polystyrene in a single shell with differentiated density. Arai's exclusive technology allows for the creation of an impact-absorbing inner shell with different densities in a single element, rather than assembling elements of different densities to obtain the final inner shell.
Super safe, even though not required by current European regulations, Arai tests its helmets with an additional safety check: the penetration test subjects the helmet to the impact of a 3kg metal cone dropped from a height of 3 metres.
